Yichang, Calling the World - Session 1

Check out this "Lao-China High-speed Railway" video, shot and edited by Lorenzo Riccardi, Director of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC).

 

The railway line, which connects to the Chinese network at Mohan in Yunnan, and runs all the way to Vientiane, the capital of Laos, is a Belt and Road Initiative. It is the biggest infrastructure project Laos has ever taken on and the first international high-speed railway connecting China to the rest of the world.

 

Riccardi’s video has been entered in the first season of the "Yichang, Calling the World" video and image competition.

 

Yichang is calling for high-quality works that promote communication and mutual understanding between the city and the world.

 

According to transport authorities in Yunnan, between January 2021 and December 2021, the Lao-China Railway transported over 1 million passengers and 500,000 tonnes of cargo.
