The 9th Yangtze River Piano Music Festival opened with a concert at Yichang Theater on September 21. From September 22 to September 24, the festival has featured a series of exceptional concerts.

On September 22, the "Golden Bell Star" piano concert showcased renowned Chinese pianist Ye Zihao, a Golden Bell Award winner, along with young performers Lu Yao and Shen Lu. Together, they mesmerized the audience with a delightful blend of both Eastern and Western piano masterpieces. The trio's six hands performed "My People, My Country" as well as excerpts from Gioachino Rossini's "The Barber of Seville.”

On September 23, the "Chinese Piano Masters" concert brought together four outstanding Chinese senior pianists: Jin Yu, Song Yaozong, Ge Hao and Xu Hong. These artists not only excel in performance but also possess exceptional teaching abilities. During his performance of "Love Songs and Boatman Chants,” Ge alternated between whistling and playing while occasionally shouting out chants.

On September 24, the "Classical Heritage" concert grouped renowned Chinese and foreign pianists Wu Yuchong, Misha Naminovsky, Xu Qianyi, Qi Te together to perform classical masterpieces by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Frederic Chopin, and Franz Liszt. Their interpretations brought back to life the elegance of Western classical music.
