Dragon Boat Festival in Yichang - Episode 3: Anishka strolls through festival market

This year, Yichang has organized different activities to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. In the “Dragon Boat Festival in Yichang” series videos, we follow foreigners working and living in Yichang to take in these activities and experience the traditional customs firsthand!

In episode 3, Anishka van der Merwe, a teacher from South Africa at Yichang Tianwen School, took a leisurely walk through the Dragon Boat Festival Market and immersed herself in the rich tapestry of Chinese culture.

The market featured nearly 100 different intangible cultural heritage products, such as local traditional food, traditional crafts and traditional fine arts. It is divided into seven areas, including cultural products, food and drinks, a clothing experience area and cultural tourism promotion.
