Practicing dragon boat teams

On June 5, 16 dragon boat teams were practicing with the backdrop of the Three Gorges Dam in Zigui County, Yichang City. They are preparing for the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival taking place on June 22 this year.
The Dragon Boat Festival is celebrated to commemorate Qu Yuan (c. 340 BC - 278 BC). Born in Zigui County, he is highly regarded as one of the greatest patriotic poets and politicians of ancient China.
