16th Hubei Games torch unveiled

The torch for the 16th Hubei Games, inspired by Yichang's lily flower and the Three Gorges Dam, has been unveiled.
According to the design team, the lily petals represent solidarity and cooperation, and the Three Gorges Dam epitomizes the advances made in modern engineering.
To integrate local culture, a Chu culture pattern has been carved onto the torch near the flame. The state of Chu flourished in Hubei for around 800 years in the period 1030 BCE – 223 BCE.
The color combination of tangerine and gold is a nod to the city's navel orange industry and its dynamism.
The logo and text relating to the 16th Hubei Games are printed on the front of the torch.
The torch is made of lightweight stainless steel, making it easy for torchbearers to carry during the relay.
