Foreign-language-speaking volunteers serve at High-Tech District’s Government Service Center
Volunteers speaking foreign languages started working at the Government Service Center of China (Hubei) Pilot Free Trade Zone Yichang Area on September 1, assisting foreigners with their local start-ups.
A businessman from Ghana popped into the service center in the High-Tech district to add food business to the license for his company Hubei Ganlanjing Engineering Science and Technology Corporation Limited. Zuo Jiuchan, an English-speaking volunteer, came to support. With Zuo's help, it took only 10 minutes to complete the application.
Volunteer language services in English, Japanese, French and other languages are now available at the center. The center is also adding new "soft services" – such as language interpreting, door-to-door services and extended service hours – and “hard facilities", such as a 24-hour service area, smart bookshelves and a children’s daycare play area.
