International cargo station to be put into operation soon

The international cargo transport station of Sanxia Airport is ready to be put into use, marking a significant upgrade for the airport.
Construction for the station started on May 6 this last year. It passed China’s civil aviation authority inspection on December 24 and had its registration accepted by Wuhan Customs on December 31.
The station has a total investment of 57 million yuan (US$7.7 million) and is situated east of the domestic cargo station. It spans 12.5 mu (8,333 square meters) with a construction area of about 2,255 square meters and designed annual cargo capacity of 40,000 tons.
At the customs supervision area, digital and intelligent equipment has been installed to further enhance clearance efficiency.
The Sanxia Airport is in discussions with relevant companies to start the international freight business in 2025.
