Dozens of Chinese mergansers

Dozens of Chinese mergansers, a national first-class protected bird, have been spotted floating on the Qingjiang River in Yichang City or waddling along the riverbanks looking for food. The quality of the river water is now above Grade II, which means it is good enough for drinking after processing. For nine winters in a row, this improved river environment has drawn the birds back to Yichang.
