Reopened Second Ave attracts visitors with historic and modern appeal

Since reopening on January 25, the Second Avenue Historical and Cultural Block in Yichang has attracted an average of 12,500 daily visitors, totaling 100,000 during the Spring Festival and peaking at 30,000 on Lunar New Year's Day. Established in 1877, the avenue symbolizes Yichang's growth. In 2021, the local government initiated a project to preserve and modernize the area, incorporating modern amenities such as cafes, bakeries, bars, and art spaces.
