Yichang’s Canal Park

In November the trees at Yichang’s Canal Park are painted with colorful hues of yellow, red, and brown. Autumn leaves tremble in the breeze and fall gently on visitors' shoulders. Locals come to relax or play, enjoying the charming autumn scenery.

Yichang Canal Park lies between Dongshan Avenue and Chengdong Avenue, in the center of Yichang. It covers more than 11 hectares.

The park has planted Chinese tallow, Cinnamomum camphora, Chinese hackberry, triangular maple, calamus mango grass, bamboo, and other local plants.  It’s home to 8,000 trees of 17 species, 9 varieties of bamboo and more than 20 species of groundcover plants.
