New energy ro-ro ship under construction at Zigui

Workers are constructing a new energy roll-on/roll-off ship at the Zigui Green Intelligent Ship Industrial Park. Scheduled for completion by June 2025, this vessel is one of three new energy ro-ro ships designated for service along the Yangtze River. It will be powered by methanol fuel generator sets and a lithium battery system, achieving a maximum speed of 22 kilometers per hour and a minimum continuous sailing time of 100 hours.
