Hydropower station corridor cuts 240 million tons of emission by 2024

Six hydropower stations along the Yangtze River together form the world’s largest clean energy corridor, including the Three Gorges, Gezhouba, and Wudongde stations. According to the China Three Gorges Corporation, by 2024 the corridor had generated an accumulative 295.9 billion kWh of electricity, equivalent to saving 89.24 million tons of coal and cutting CO2 emissions by 240 million tons.
