The red-billed blue magpie is a species of corvidae, a family of birds that contains – apart from magpies – crows and jays.
In China, it is a protected bird.
The bird has a black head, neck and chest. It has white feathers on its head, a red beak and red feet. Its wing feathers are mainly blue. The red-billed blue magpie has the largest body, longest tail and most beautiful feathers of all the magpies.
