Past and present of Yiling Square

Upper pic: The construction site of Yiling Square at Tieluba district in 1997. The construction was completed on November 3, 1997, welcoming the river closure of the world's largest hydroelectric project, the Three Gorges Project, three days later. "Yiling" is the ancient name for Yichang.

Lower pic: Yiling Square in 2024. Since its opening, the square has maintained lush greenery, vibrant flowers, bright lighting, and clean surfaces throughout the seasons. Located in the bustling commercial center of Yichang, it is the largest green square in the city, offering spaces for leisure, sightseeing, entertainment, and exercise.
