Researchers from Yichang’s Three Gorges University have developed a 3D concrete printer with the largest span and printing size in China. It can construct a three-story villa in one go, with five days required to print each floor. The team is currently “printing” two 2.5-meter-high buildings.
The concrete 3D printer is 16m*17m*11m in size. The printer has the potential to speed up construction times while also saving costs and reducing carbon emissions.
