Three Gorges Reservoir begins annual water collection

The Three Gorges Reservoir began raising its water level to 175 meters on September 10, which is the standard level designed for the project during autumn.

Every year, the reservoir collects water at the end of flood season and gradually releases it during the dry season to meet winter and spring demands in the Yangtze River basin.
