Supermoon shines over Yichang

A stunning supermoon illuminated the sky in Yichang on Monday, showcasing its landmarks in a mesmerizing spectacle. A supermoon occurs when a full moon comes within 90 percent of its closest approach to Earth, known as perigee. These extraordinary lunar events occur only three to four times annually and always appear in consecutive months. This marks the first supermoon of the year, with three more expected in September, October, and November.
