Shipbuilding base busy with production orders

In recent days, workers at Letianxi shipbuilding base have been stepping up construction on large cargo ships for ensuring swift deliveries to customers.
The base belongs to Yichang Jiangsen Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., which has an annual shipbuilding capacity of 200,000 DWT (deadweight tonnage) and majors in the production of 130-meter standard ships.
As one of the four major shipbuilding bases in Hubei, Yichang has 19 licensed shipbuilding enterprises. Yichang launched 111 ships last year including 11 new energy ships, creating a total output value of 4 billion yuan (US$138 million).
