Tourists flock to picking strawberries floating in air

In a greenhouse of a “floating strawberry garden” in Dangyang, 80,000 strawberries are planted in troughs lifted up in the air.
Covering 8,000 square meters, this strawberry garden is the largest of its kind in Yichang City. It features three premium varieties: Xiangye, Yuexiu, and Fenyu. By planting strawberries in this elevated manner, pickers are able to avoid bending down.
The greenhouse incorporates various intelligent technologies, including automated lighting, temperature and humidity control, hydroponics, and drip irrigation for water and fertilizer. The garden yields twice as much as traditional ground planting, and the selling price is double that of regular strawberries.
