New interchange opens to traffic

The Three Gorges Avenue/Zhongnan 1st Road interchange is now open. The diamond-shaped interchange will help to alleviate traffic pressure in the eastern part of Yichang.
This project is the fifth interchange to open in Yichang since 2019.
At present, with the completion of Xiazhou Avenue, Three Gorges Avenue, Jiangcheng Avenue and a number of interchanges, Yichang has built a network consisting of four major roads running north-south and six running east-west. By the end of 2023, Yichang’s expressways had the combined length of 170 kilometers in its urban area.
