Sturgeon Valley caviar production booms

Workers are busy making caviar at the aseptic low-temperature workshop in Yidu’s Sturgeon Valley.


Sturgeon Valley is the largest indoor sturgeon breeding base in the world and houses over 1.2 million sturgeons across dozens of species. It’s annual caviar production capacity in 2023 exceeded 100 tons, and products are now being sought after by 10 different countries and regions. Sturgeon Valley’s industrial output value is expected to surpass 37 million yuan ($5.16 million).
