Strawberry season arrives in Zhijiang

The first batch of early winter strawberries from Zhijiang are hitting the market.
Covering an area of more than 1.33 hectares, the garden grows three varieties of strawberries, which are big in size and feature a sweet taste and bright red color.
Strawberries here mainly rely on natural pollination by honeybees. With an environmentally friendly method of cultivation, the farmers use seaweed extract and soybean protein in replacement of chemical fertilizer. This business has created seasonal jobs for 30 nearby farmers.
