In the Three Gorges Indigenous Scenic Area in Yichang City, the green mountains and clear waters attract tourists from all over, giving them a chance to escape the summer heat and enjoy some beautiful scenery.
The scenic area lies in the middle of Xiling Gorge between the Three Gorges Dam and the Gezhouba Dam. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, the area is dotted with rural residences.
In the first half of the year, the number of tourists in Yichang doubled compared to the same period in 2022. The Three Gorges Indigenous Scenic Area alone received 1.08 million visitors and generated tourism revenue of 97 million yuan, surpassing the same period in 2019.
