In Moping Township, Zigui County, Yichang City, rainy weather is followed by a sunny day. Halfway up the mountains, clouds and mists are entwined, through which the pastoral fields of the township appear.
Located in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, the township has an average altitude of 1,090 meters and a forest coverage rate of 83%. It is home to precious tree species such as yews, the dove-tree, and ancient Ginkgo. It is also endowed with rich natural resources: 30 million tonnes of coal reserves and more than 300 million cubic meters of silica reserves.
