Mrs. Gould's Sunbirds brighten Yichang

Cheerful Mrs. Gould's Sunbirds have recently been spotted dancing and drinking nectar from the rhododendron fortunei in Yichang's Quanyitang National Wetland Park. The small bird, each weighing only 5 to 6 grams, is sometimes referred to as the Asian hummingbird. Rhododendron fortunei, known as "the King of Rhododendron,” is a rare tree species unique to China.
