A firework show lit up the sky in Yidu, Yichang City on January 29, the eighth day of the first lunar month, known as the traditional time to light lanterns. The display began at 8pm and lasted for 30 minutes. More than 120,000 people came to watch at the Xunlong Bay Park, while over 2.1 million people watched via livestream online. Fireworks represent wishes and blessings. The show added joy to the Spring Festival and was an expression of best wishes for the coming new year.
