Zigzagging 66 kilometers through the earth, Xiling Gorge is the longest of the Three Gorges along Yangtze River (the other two being Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge). Starting from the mouth of Xiangxi Stream (Fragrant Stream) in the west and ending at Nanjin Pass in the east, it is home to the magnificent Three Gorges Indigenous Scenic Area.
The scenic area lies between the Three Gorges Dam and the Gezhouba Dam. Picturesque hills and crystal-clear waters epitomize the traditions and essence of the original Three Gorges culture.
