Spring blooms in wetland park

The Juhe National Wetland Park is currently in bloom with Zhugecai, or "February Orchid." Named after the famed Three Kingdoms strategist Zhuge Liang (181-234), the flowers are said to have sustained his troops when their supplies ran low. The blossoms appear purple from April to May before fading to white, creating a stunning display.
