Yichang celebrates 2025 Flower Festival

A day full of petals, legends, and Hanfu - the 2025 Flower Festival was held in Yichang on March 30, offering a lively mix of performances, markets, parades, and interactive experiences. Dressed in elegant Hanfu, young attendees transformed into “Flower Goddesses,” embracing the beauty of traditional Chinese culture.

Celebrated in the second month of the lunar calendar, the festival celebrates the flower goddess' birthday and dates back over 2,000 years. According to ancient beliefs, the flower goddess influences human reproduction, and celebrating her birthday has become a custom to bring prosperity.
