Yunxigu ski resort reopens after upgrading

The Three Gorges Yunxigu International Ski Resort reopened on January 26 following a comprehensive upgrade completed at the end of 2024.
The resort now features a 350-meter advanced slope with a vertical drop of 110 meters, along with a new uphill cable car system. The intermediate slope has been extended to 600 meters, and the play area has expanded to 20,000 square meters. Additionally, the resort includes one practice slope and two beginner slopes.
Since opening for the winter season in 2023, the resort has attracted over 40,000 visitors, generating 4.5 million yuan (US$621,000) in tourism revenue. It also created 150 jobs and directly boosted the income of more than 600 local villagers.
