Finless porpoises grace the Yangtze River

As winter sets in, the playful finless porpoises in the Yangtze River remain active. These protected aquatic mammals occasionally surface from the water, allowing lucky onlookers to catch a glimpse. Thanks to conservation efforts, their population in the Yangtze River has grown to about 1,250 as of 2022.
