Construction of Gaolan Bridge finished

Construction was completed on March 15 for the Gaolan Bridge. Its #13 pier stands 137-meters above the ground and has a foundation that reaches 77-meters underground. It’s the tallest bridge pier under construction in China.
The 1,029.8-meter bridge is an important part of the Yichang-Xingshan High-speed Railway. When the railway is completed, travel time between Yichang and Xingshan will be reduced to just 30 minutes. Additionally, time between Yichang and Chongqing will be cut by an hour, bringing the trip to just around 3 hours.
