Yiling welcomes early spring tea harvest season

Taipingxi Town in Yiling District kicked off its third annual Early Spring Tea Festival on March 11, with tea merchants and experts from all over the country in attendance.
In recent years, Taipingxi Town developed their early spring tea planting while promoting tea tourism. The town has planted 40,000 mu (2,667 hectares) of tea, including 15,000 mu of early spring tea. Early spring tea is popular here among consumers, arriving 15 to 30 days earlier than the harvesting times in many other places.
