Qianhua embroidery is an ancient cultural practice from Xujiachong Village in Hubei. The character "qian" means pull and "hua" means flowers.

This traditional art involves stitching and locking elaborate patterns onto fabric with differently colored cotton threads. This style of embroidery has been used for pillowcases, handkerchiefs, shoe surfaces, perfumed bags and wall hangings. It transmits wishes for happiness and good fortune.

Xujiachong villagers combine traditional embroidery with Ay Tsao, a fragrant medicinal plant, to create unique pieces. These products are distributed nationwide through e-commerce platforms, providing flexible employment opportunities for embroideresses.
