Chinese medicinal plants harvested in Yunfeng village

The harvest of plants used in Chinese medicine is in full swing in Yunfeng village, Zigui county.
The main varieties are forsythia, rhubarb, lovage, rhizome, achyranthes, scrophulariaceae, fritillary and perilla.
Yunfeng village has more than 133 hectares planted with Chinese herbs this year, worth more than 5 million yuan (US$696,000).
Local farmers pick, process, package and transport the plants, each earning around 3,000 yuan of extra income.
