Long Table Banquet season kicks off

The 3rd Chaibuxi Long Table Banquet season opened last Saturday at Dawankou Scenic Area, and will serve until December 10. More than 700 people from home and abroad took part in the feast on its first day. They not only enjoyed Tujia songs and dances, but also savored Tujia cuisine, especially the main dish of "Tai Ge Zi" unique to the Tujia people.
Tai Ge Zi is the Chinese name of Tujia Steamed Pork. Served to guests on special occasions, the dish is made from fresh pork belly, corn flour and vegetables such as pumpkins, sweet potatoes and turnips. Ingredients are carefully mixed together and steamed, making for a perfectly tender pork, fatty but not greasy.

The price of 148 RMB per person includes one ticket for Chaibuxi National Forest Park and a lunch at the Long Table Banquet beginning at 11:38 am. The banquet can host up to approximately 900 people, and will open if reservations reach 300.
