Huangniu Rock (Yellow Ox Rock) is the best spot for overlooking the Three Gorges Dam. Just one kilometer south of the Three Gorges Dam, at the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, it lies in the middle of Xiling Gorge. With an altitude of 1,047 meters, it is also the highest spot in the Three Gorges Dam area.
