Overseas guests get a taste of Zigui oranges

A group of 33 women officials from developing countries visited Zigui county while attending a Social Management Capacity Building Workshop training program.
At the Qugu International Agriculture Group, they discovered the long and remarkable history of Zigui navel oranges. They were impressed by the taste of the oranges and surprised that so many products can be made from oranges.
Yichang is one of China’s main production areas for oranges, mandarins and clementines. In 2021, the Yichang area produced nearly one 10th of all the citrus fruit in China, leading many to refer to it as “Orange City”.
A famous agri-products enterprise in Yichang, Qugu has the capacity to produce 100,000 tons of fresh oranges and 3,000 tons of orange-based products each year. Every month, hundreds of trucks and containers ship fresh oranges and orange products to every corner of the country and the globe.
