A sea of mist lingers over the Bailihuang Scenic Area of Yiling District, Yichang City, Hubei Province, following several days of rain.
Located about one and a half hour’s drive from Yichang city center, Bailihuang Scenic Area covers an area of 42 square kilometers, with an average elevation of 1,200 meters and a maximum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius in summer.
Bailihuang Scenic Area enjoys four distinct seasons. Visitors can ski in winter and in summer enjoy the sunshine while escaping the torrid heat on the plains.
It receives more than 2 million visitors a year, generating revenue of more than 200 million yuan (US$28.25 million), some of which goes to the more than 300 B&Bs and farmhouses along the route. Tourism provides around 2,600 jobs for local villagers. #Yichang #travelchina #Hubei
