Yichang delegation visits South Africa, Turkey and Egypt

Yichang’s Mayor Ma Zejiang led the municipal government delegation to visit South Africa, Turkey and Egypt from April 22 to May 1 for friendship and business cooperations.

In South Africa, Ma witnessed the signing of a project cooperation agreement between Yichang Humanwell and IPC. Humanwell will start to produce and sell the Remifentanil Hydrochloride for Injection in South Africa beginning this year. Ma said he hoped that the two enterprises would seize the opportunity to work together in the frontier of biomedicine in order to safeguard a better future for human health. Yichang will provide all necessary resources to promote the partnership between the two sides to help them reach higher levels.

In Turkey, Ma invited Turkish companies to visit Yichang for new opportunities and promised that Yichang would create a good environment suitable for enterprises from both countries to work together.

In Egypt, Ma visited Angel Yeast’s headquarters in Cairo and its factory in New Beni Suef. Yichang-based Angel Yeast is the world's third largest and Asia's largest yeast maker. Following this, he visited the Yichang company CITYSTARS SHARM EL-SHEIKH project of China National Chemical Engineering No. 16 Construction Co., Ltd. He congratulated the Yichang enterprises’ achievements in foreign cooperation, encouraging them to actively "go out" and "invite guests in" to boost their global growth moving forward. In addition, Ma’s trip included a stop at the Egypt China Trade Center.

During the visit, Yichang City and Istanbul Maltepe District, Yichang High-Tech Zone and New Beni Suef City, and Yiling District and Egypt China Trade Center all signed the Letters of Intent on Friendship and Cooperation between one another.
