This safety record owes a lot to the efforts and dedication of Lu Chaozhong and his colleagues who have chalked up more than 20,000 kilometers through the mountains in the past 13 years.

They have opened up more than 500 new mountain patrol routes, and discovered and documented 824 dangerous rocks.
To find and record each dangerous rock and develop a management plan, they rely on just a safety rope attached to the mountain. They are modern-day "spidermen".
