At Maoping Cruise Terminal in Zigui, Yichang, tourists from all over China board a luxury cruise ship and prepare to sail up the Yangtze River. Tourism has been booming this year in the Three Gorges region. In just the first quarter of 2023, Yichang received more than 19 million tourists, up 33% year-on-year from 2022.
