Yichang 2023 talent recruitment campaign lures talents from across China

Yichang’s national talent recruitment campaign has helped local businesses reach tentative employment agreements with more than 7,000 talents from across China.
The “Thousand Enterprises, Hundred Elite Universities” Talent Recruitment Campaign, a brand created by Yichang to attract talents, targeted 27 elite universities in cities such as Wuhan, Lanzhou, Xi’an and Chongqing. A total of 325 online and offline recruitment activities have so far been held in 100 universities nationwide.
The Yichang Human Resources Department coordinated the participation of 471 local enterprises and institutions in the campaign, with more than 25,000 high-quality jobs on offer.
Almost a quarter of the positions on offer are high-salaried technical positions. Both minimum and maximum salaries have increased significantly from a year ago, with the maximum annual salary raised from 300,000 yuan (US$43,630) to 600,000 yuan (US$87,260).
Yichang HR staff are keeping in touch with the talents, helping them with their employment agreements and facilitating their induction into their companies.
In addition to the remuneration, benefits include:
1. Employees with PhD degrees hired by a government department are entitled to a living allowance of 150,000 yuan to 200,000 yuan over three years.
2. Employees with PhD degrees hired by companies are entitled to a one-time living allowance of 300,000 yuan, and those with a Master’s degree will receive a living allowance of 1,000 yuan per month for three years.
3. Employees with PhD degrees are entitled to a housing subsidy of 100,000 yuan and those with a Master’s degree a housing subsidy of 60,000 yuan when buying apartments designated for purchase by talents.
4. Employees with PhD and Master’s degrees hired by enterprises can rent talent apartments for the token sum of 1 yuan per year for three years, or receive rental subsidies of 12,000 yuan per year (PhD) and 9,600 yuan per year (Master’s).
5. Employees with PhD and Master’s degrees have access to special housing loans when they buy their first property in Yichang.
