Yichang’s first vertical marathon to begin soon

Yichang will host its first vertical marathon beginning on April 9 at Yichang International Plaza.
A total of 300 runners are set to climb 1,200 steps to reach the 45th floor, a height of 225 meters.
Another 100 participants will climb 666 steps up 25 floors reaching a height of 125 meters.
The activity will be part of the third Wujia Banquet, a local event series held every year since 2020 to reinvigorate the local economy after COVID-19.
