Credit of 6.6 billion yuan granted to boost local businesses

Nineteen companies were granted a total of 6.6 billion yuan (US$957 million) in credit at an event led by the Xiling District government on March 1.
Nineteen companies were granted a total of 6.6 billion yuan (US$957 million) in credit at an event led by the Xiling District government on March 1.
Receiving companies primarily included the construction, service, cultural and tourism industries. Among them, the construction industry received a total of 5.95 billion yuan. The Xiling government initiated this collaboration among banks, guarantees, business associations, companies and the government to realize the deals.
Since January of this year, Xiling District has helped 112 companies to obtain cumulative credit financing of 13.63 billion yuan.
With economy growth picking up, new bank loans in Yichang reached 20.1 billion yuan in January, more than six times the amount during the same period last year, according to data released by the Yichang Branch of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission.
