On February 24, a 5-month long food fair – running until August – opened at Wulong Yas Square in Dianjun district. By combining food consumption with cultural and entertainment activities, the campaign will help boost confidence and spur economic development in the area.

The launch ceremony
At the launch ceremony, models dressed in Hanfu traditional clothes displayed a variety of unique and delicious Dianjun dishes to the spectators. More than 30 catering enterprises produced around 100 special dishes on the spot, to the delight of amateur photographers.
Model Shows the delicious foodApart from food tasting, the event featured an agricultural products exhibition, a car exhibition, flower trading, and a mini job fair as well as companies offering legal services. Local people sampled the food and talked to stall holders and consultants. “By the time I get to the end of the tasting area, I’ll be full! It’s great value for money!" said visitor Ms Zhu.

The launch ceremony was followed by a music festival and a cooking competition. The event also has an online voting activity to select the “10 Most Famous Dianjun Dishes”.
