Yichang launches 2023 talent recruitment campaign

Yichang City has launched its 2023 talent recruitment project codenamed "Hundred Elite Universities, Hundred Talents". 

The project aims to recruit outstanding Chinese talents for the Three Gorges Talent Group, China Three Gorges University and other state-owned and private enterprises in Yichang City. The talents should have a Master’s or higher degree from one of the top 100 universities in the 2022 World University Rankings published by QS, USNEWS, ARWU or Times Higher Education. Applicants should not be currently serving in the military.

 

The Three Gorges Talent Group plans to recruit 38 talents for 10 government departments including the Commerce Bureau, the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, the Education Bureau, the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Health Commission and the Housing Fund Management Center. Successful applicants will have different educational backgrounds, including engineering, technology, information management and legal studies. 

 

China Three Gorges University plans to hire 132 talents. 

 

Twenty-six state-owned and private enterprises in Yichang, including the CSIC 710th Research Institute (China State Shipbuilding Corporation), China Gezhouba Group Electric Power, Hubei Xingfa Chemicals Group and Angel Yeast plan to hire more than 400 talents to work in areas such as sales, design and R&D. 

 

In addition to the remuneration, there are other benefits:

1. Employees with PhD degrees hired by a government department will receive a living allowance of 150,000 (US$21,771) to 200,000 yuan over three years.

2. Employees with PhD degrees hired by companies will receive a one-time living allowance of 300,000 yuan, and those with a Master’s degree will receive a monthly living allowance of 1,000 yuan for three years. 

3. Employees with PhD degrees will receive a housing subsidy of 100,000 yuan and those with a Master’s degrees a housing subsidy of 60,000 yuan when buying apartments designated for purchase by talents. 

4. Employees with PhD and Master’s degrees hired by enterprises can rent talent apartments for 1 yuan/year for three years, or receive rental subsidies of 12,000 yuan per year (PhD) and 9,600 yuan per year (Master’s). 

5. Employees with PhD and Master’s degrees can enjoy special housing loans when they buy their first property in Yichang.
