2023 Lantern Festival Fireworks show ready for Yichang

This year’s Fireworks Show, titled “Looking Forward to 2023," will be held in Yichang City during the Lantern Festival - the 15th day of the first month of the Chinese lunar calendar (February 5, 2023) - from 7:37 to 8 p.m. 

 

The fireworks will be simultaneously set off at multiple points across the urban area of Yichang City. These locations include: 

-Xiaoxi Pagoda River Park in Yiling District 

-Miaozui of Xiba in Xiling District 

-Yanzhiba - upstream from the Yichang-Wanzhou Railway Bridge, serving audiences in both the Wujiagang and Dianjun districts 

-Liuquanhu Civic Activity Center in Xiaoting District 

-Xinwangda project site in Yichang High-tech District

 

Some roads in Yichang will close starting from 3 p.m. this Sunday. The public is advised to walk to the nearest area for viewing.

 

The suggested areas for enjoying the fireworks include: 

-Ten Miles of Riverside - a business building belt in Wujiagang District

-The Yanzhiba section of Tan’ai Road in Dianjun District

-Binjiang Park and Yanjiang Avenue - between the Gezhouba Dam Park and Peace Park in Xiling District
