2023 Spring Festival Lantern Show kicks off in Yichang

The 2023 Spring Festival Lantern Show will be held in Yichang's Binjiang Park from Jan. 19 and Jan.28, 2023.

There are seven featured lantern scenes. They represent the tea industry, tourism, cherished animals and historical legends of Yichang, as well as traditional Chinese culture and good wishes for visitors. The details are as follows:
1.Yichang tea in five colorsYichang has a long history of tea production in China. Its tea comes in five colors -- green, red, yellow, white and black. Each of which has its own distinct taste.
2.Dancing dolphinsYichang is home to the finless porpoise, a Chinese national-level protected animal. Its smile charms locals and visitors alike.
3.Meet you in YichangYichang 's four cute cultural and tourism cartoon icons help welcome visitors from all over the world.
4.Dragon boatYichang is the hometown of Qu Yuan, a famous Chinese poet from ancient times. The dragon boat lanterns are made to commemorate him and dragon boats have become a popular water sport.
5.Happy Kiss between SnowmenWith two lovely snowmen kissing each other, Jack shall have Jill.
6.Auspicious Year of the RabbitIn Chinese traditional culture, this Spring Festival will bring in the Year of the Rabbit. Rabbit is one of the 12 Chinese Zodiac animals corresponding to the 12 Terrestrial Branches that represent the year.
7.Starry nightThe most romantic thing I can think of is to look at the beautiful stars with a loved one. Tonight, my wish is fulfilled by the star filled night sky.
