Yichang Railway authority reported that about 62,000 passengers made trips through its nine affiliated stations during the Mid-autumn Festival, an increase of 30% over 2019.

To streamline travel during the September 10-12 holiday, the station designed flexible schedules that responded to passenger flow changes. On average, it operated 154 passenger trains per day during the break and maintained stable traffic.

During the holiday period, the station monitored train ticket presale numbers to get early estimates and applied for extra transportation capacity so that it could swiftly adjust its operating schedule.

The station arranged 33 extra trains and upgraded 21 more trains from single units to double-CRH locomotive operation, with most of them operating on the Wuhan-Yichang Line and the Changjiangbu-Jingmen Line.
